Dashing McFly

Hi everyone, I am called McFly and even though I am just 7 months old, I am really trying to be a good boy in my foster home. I do know to go outside to the toilet and not to chew the furniture but it is quite hard as I am still only young. I play with my rope and other soft toys but they aren’t as good as those plasticky gardening shoes.

When I go outside I am so excited by everything I see and hear. I try to pull my foster mum over to every dog we pass just to play with them. Being calm is not in my nature and really hard as not many dogs like to be bumped against, even though they know I just want to play and their humans are quite put out if I try to jump up at them too. I now weigh 18.2kg so quite a lot to land on people at 30mph.

I would love a home with a well-fenced garden so I can zoom around as much as possible then, my foster mum says, I can calm down and walk nicely on my lead.

Apparently, the people in the branch say that I really need an experienced Lurcher home, where people know what young dogs can get up to and what we need to keep us happy and calm. Very young children are not advised as I really don’t realise how easily I can knock people over when I try to get through a doorway before everyone else and jump on the sofa to bounce off the cushions and the people who are sitting on it.

So this is what the humans and the type of home and family they would like for me.

An adult only home or one with older teenage (over 14) children. Where the humans like to walk “A LOT” along with a well-fenced garden with access to country paths. Even better would be a family with an older (not too old as I would love to play) lurcher or similar sized dog who will not put up with my lack of off switch. Definitely no cats or small furries please.
