Meet Nessie, is now 16 weeks old, she went to her foster home a few weeks ago, having developed a “carpel flexurol deformity” at 10 weeks of age. As you can see from her photo on the left it was, initially, quite severe. Following her improved diet and careful exercise regime her legs have greatly improved (see her other photos).
Poor Nessie was born, along with her siblings, into appalling conditions, but thanks to reports from the public they were all rescued by RSPCA inspectors. All Nessie’s brothers and sisters have found their forever families but Nessie, who was the most affected by her terrible start in life, has needed a few weeks of extra TLC from her experienced fosterer to get the to the stage that she has recovered well enough to find her forever home.
We are looking for family with older children who may have a friendly, calm dog, who will tell an over enthusiastic puppy off if she gets too giddy. A middle aged rather than elderly dog, because she will be too much for an older dog who will not want to be harassed by a young pup.
If you could give Nessie the home and family she needs please don’t hesitate to contact the branch.
