In May last year, the RSPCA’s Greater Manchester Animal Hospital put out an urgent request for help in caring for a litter of puppies abandoned outside their gates. The babies were thought to be just a couple of days old and still had their umbilical chords attached.
It’s only though the dedication of one of our brilliant foster carers that all but one (which had a congenital heart disorder) survived their ordeal and thrived on a diet of 2 hourly feeds of puppy milk and lots and lots of TLC.
Just before Christmas 5 of their adopters brought them along to the Horseman’s Carol Service at Friezeland Arena and we have included a selection of their “then and now” photos. Plus 3 other rescued dogs who came along to support them.
