[singlepic id=12272 w=320 h=240 float=left]Wilbur is about 4 months of age and will probably grow up to be a medium sized dog. This little puppy came to the branch from the RSPCA’s Greater Manchester Animal Hospital, where he had been found as an underweight, flea infested, stray.
He was treated against fleas and worms, received his first vaccination and sent to us so that he could spend time in a foster home. Having spent three weeks waiting for an owner to claim this little boy to no effect, we can now begin to find him a caring forever family.
His fosterers tell us that he is now a very happy puppy who is gaining weight rapidly with regular meals of puppy food and without the pesky worms and fleas sucking the life out of him.
He is a very clever little boy, who sits for his food bowl to be put down and for a treat. He will give a paw, comes when he’s called and is now very much house trained, except for the very occasional accident.
He gets on well with people, children and other dogs although we won’t rehome him to families with children under 5 as he does like to mouth with his needle sharp puppy teeth and can scratch with his claws.
If you would like to meet Wilbur with a view to adoption please contact the branch to arrange a convenient time to visit him.
