[singlepic id=5211 w=320 h=240 float=left]Stanley, is a 7 years old black greyhound who was originally adopted by an elderly lady from a sight-hound rescue. The lady became very ill and had to go into a care home. She also had a cat and the cat and Stanley were said to have got on well together. Stanley hadn’t been very well looked after through no fault of the owner, as she had become ill unknowingly until latter days of her illness.
He had some muscle wastage and was quite under-weight, he also had a slight eye infection which may have been caused through undernourishment. We were told he had an old injury and that was why he was originally adopted out, but the family said his leg had recovered quite well and that the lady was told by her vet not to let him run loose due to this.
Stanley has now gained weight and his eyes are completely better, his foster home has fed him well and he has enjoyed plenty of lead walks. Stanley should not be let off the lead due to his old injury, lead walks are completely fine and this is what he is now used to.
Would you like to give Stanley a loving home? Please don’t hesitate to contact the branch.
