[singlepic id=2789 w=320 h=240 float=left]Naila is a Chocolate Point Ragdoll, who was unwanted by her previous owners who had too many Ragdolls to care for them adequately. She is now looking for a very caring home where she won’t be allowed to roam freely due to her breed’s too trusting nature. We are looking for an experienced family or those who have researched the breed thoroughly.
Despite the Ragdoll breed being renowned for their friendliness Naila is very nervous due to not receiving enough human contact and will need daily grooming and extra TLC to help her overcome her difficult past. Nayla has never been outside a house.
Naila was kept in pretty squalid over-crowded conditions and as a result she will need lots of patience to help her to begin to use a litter tray as she had no experience of being clean. This can be difficult to achieve so any adopter needs to understand this before taking this beautiful cat into their home.
Several websites offer advice – this is a good one but there are others:
ASPCA – remedial litter box training
However, please bear in mind that the article is written by the American SPCA.
Many Ragdolls are picked up and sold on by unscrupulous people so her new family must either make sure that their garden is a mini “fort knox” and that Naila only goes out accompanied on a harness and lead, or she should live as a house cat.
