Jasper JRT x Whippet – Rehomed

[singlepic id=2210 w=320 h=240 float=left]Jasper is approximately 2 years old and a Jack Russell who probably has some whippet in him.  He originally came to us in December 2011  having been a casualty of the 2010 Christmas gift buying and was adopted quite quickly.  He is very friendly getting on with everyone 2 or 4 legged.  However, due to his adopter’s change from part to full time working she has reluctantly come to the decision that he is too unhappy to be left such long hours each day.

This is what his adopter says about him:

Jasper is a loving friendly dog and loves to be around people and other animals.  He needs to be with an experienced dog owner who will be with him nearly all the time, and will have the knowledge to train him.  He does get very stressed when left alone for long periods of time. He is 99 % house trained but if he has any stress in his life he will mess in the house and go off his food.

He is excellent outside and loves going for long walks as he is a very active little dog and he is great with other dogs.  He does cry a lot and even 14 months down the line I can not understand why. He is healthy dog and has no health issues.

I have had to go back to work full time and we were making good progress with him but on returning to full time work he has gone back to the stage he was when I first got him and I feel that working long hours is having a major effect on him.

He is great with childen no matter how big or small they are.  He just wants to be everyone’s friend.  He has the run of my house as he can not have doors shut as this gets him very upset too.   Please can you help me find an experienced home who can train and look after him better than I could.

I love this little dog and I would like him to have the best home possible.”
