Rupert Husky-x (Rehomed)

Rupert is a 9 and a half month old Siberian Husky/Samoyed cross who is a fast learner but will need someone to carry on his training as he is still a very young dog. He currently lives with a 9 year old bitch and has always been very respectful of her, and allows her to play with his toys and be in his space without any problems, but he just can’t get on with the other male dog who shares their home and who is a bit older than Rupert.

He is fine with his owners’ two indoor cats and really likes them, although it would be better if any future family cat is used to dogs and is confident around them, as Rupert can be clumsy. He will also chase wild rabbits in the garden, so no small furries please. He is used to being around chickens and enjoys watching them.

Rupert is a fast learner and eager to please, although he still pulls on the lead he is improving in his harness. He is happy to travel in the car and sleeps in a crate at night, but shares the bedroom with his owners. Rupert needs someone at home a lot of the time, or who could take him with them to work. He is very friendly with everyone he meets.

Because of his size we will not rehome him to families with children under 12 years of age as he is already a large dog and still puppyish in his ways and could easily pull or knock younger children over.
